TinkerTags was "born" in very late 2020 with a ton of hope and mountains of big dreams. Unfortunately that dreaming was side-tracked with an illness and later, multiple changes in work, home environment, and income. It's a common story that many artists and entrepreneurs have suffered through since 2020.
I started TinkerTags as a hand-stamped pet tag business. The business did very well until I had to pivot my workflow, my product offerings and my personal time devoted to each item. Unable to handle the pace in 2023, I closed the shop. I still have my tools and may begin to craft custom tags again.
Until then, I'm working on the TinkerTags website - sharing what I have learned about dogs from books, experts and trainers as well as my own four-legged besties. When I started TinkerTags, two senior American Bulldogs were my companions. Today, my life is consumed by a not-quite-two Belgian Malinois.
Personally, I'm intrigued by the canine brain, and the evolution of wolf-to-dog. I hope to share what I have learned about canine cognition and the latest research on training dogs as I feel we now live in a pandemic of untrained, ignored and out-of-control canines.
